Dr Jenkins and Mr Kreep together for one show only

SATURDAY will mark the opening of the first solo exhibition by local artist Hayden Jenkins, who almost lost his life following a head on collision with a bus in Canberra two years ago.

Mr Jenkins is still suffering the long term effects of the accident but will have his calm and soothing Monaro landscapes on display in Jindabyne until June 18.

The exhibition at the Snowy Region Visitors Centre will also feature some darker works from Mr Jenkins alter ego, Baron Von Kreep.

Mr Kreep surfaces occasionally allowing Mr Jenkins to create two very different styles, one representing his darker side the other represents the artists' close affinity with the bush.

"Since the accident my movement is restricted so now I paint where I can't go."

While the exhibition will mostly feature the light, airy and fresh bush scenes there will be an appearance or two from the dark twin Baron Von Kreep, just to keep things interesting.

"I get to put all my stuff in, which is a lot more fun," Mr Jenkins said.
